Terms & Conditions
Effective Date: March 13, 2026
These Terms and Conditions govern the services provided by Neubaum Electric LLC and the use of the Neubaum Electric website. By scheduling service, approving an estimate, signing an invoice, or using this website, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions.
SERVICES
Neubaum Electric LLC provides residential electrical installation, replacement, troubleshooting, repair, and related home improvement or handyman services. Services may include electrical work, fixture installation, minor repairs, assembly, mounting, and other residential service tasks.
Services are performed based on the information provided at the time of booking and the conditions observed on site.
Actual job conditions may differ from those described during scheduling. If additional issues are discovered during the service visit, the scope of work and final pricing may change with customer approval.
WORK AUTHORIZATION AND ESTIMATE APPROVAL
Work will not begin until the customer has approved the estimate and provided a signature acknowledging the agreed pricing and scope of work.
Approval of an estimate confirms the customer agrees to the listed services, pricing, travel charges, and applicable labor terms. A final signature may be required prior to the start of work to authorize service.
By signing an estimate, invoice, or work authorization form, the customer confirms they have read and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
ESTIMATES AND PRICING
Estimates are based on the information provided at the time of booking and standard installation conditions. Final scope may change if hidden issues, damaged wiring, improper prior work, or non standard conditions are discovered during the service visit.
Approval of an estimate confirms agreement with the listed scope of work, pricing, travel charges, and applicable labor rates.
If additional work outside the approved estimate is required, the customer will be informed and approval will be obtained before proceeding.
SERVICE PRICING AND LABOR TERMS
Diagnostic Service Call: A non refundable service fee of $85 is required for diagnostic visits. This fee covers travel within the standard service area and the first 45 minutes of on site diagnostics or labor.
Application of Fees: If a repair or installation is completed during the same visit, the $85 service fee is applied toward the total labor cost.
Minimum Service Charge: The minimum labor charge for any service visit is $85. If a repair is completed within the initial 45 minute window and the task value is $85 or less, the diagnostic service fee serves as the total labor charge for that visit.
Hourly Rate: Work extending beyond the initial diagnostic period is billed at $80 per hour. Additional labor will only proceed after the customer has approved the updated estimate.
Exclusions: Standard labor rates do not include applicable sales tax, specialized material costs, or travel surcharges for locations outside the primary Cayce / Columbia service area.
SERVICE VISIT & DIAGNOSTIC FEES
Approval and signature of the estimate authorizes the scheduled service visit.
If the work proceeds as described in the approved estimate, the listed flat rate or quoted price will apply.
If the scope of work changes, the issue has already been resolved prior to arrival, the customer decides not to proceed with the repair, or the originally requested work cannot be completed due to site conditions or incorrect information provided during booking, the diagnostic service call fee of $85 and any applicable travel charges will apply for the visit.
The service call fee covers travel time, scheduling, and on site evaluation of the issue.
PAYMENT TERMS
Payment is due upon completion of service unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Accepted payment methods may include cash, card, or approved digital payment options. Failure to provide payment may result in collection efforts.
Payment of an invoice confirms that the work listed on the invoice has been completed and accepted by the customer.
SCHEDULING AND ACCESS
Customers must provide safe and reasonable access to the work area. If access cannot be provided or the technician must leave due to unsafe conditions, a service fee may still apply.
Cancellations or rescheduling should be made with reasonable notice. No shows or last minute cancellations may be subject to a service charge.
CUSTOMER SUPPLIED MATERIALS
Neubaum Electric LLC is not responsible for the performance, compatibility, or defects of materials supplied by the customer. Installation labor is covered, but manufacturer defects or incompatible products are not the responsibility of Neubaum Electric LLC.
LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY
Neubaum Electric LLC is not responsible for pre existing electrical issues, hidden wiring conditions, or damage resulting from improper prior installations.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, liability for any claim related to services provided will be limited to the amount paid for the specific service performed.
RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE
Neubaum Electric LLC reserves the right to refuse service if job conditions are unsafe, illegal, or outside the scope of residential service work.
